1) Double press the home key on all devices to access the multitasking functions.
2) Hold down the power button and press the home button to take screenshot.
3) On third Gen iPod Touch and iPhone 3GS onwards, hold down the home button for five seconds to activate voice control.
4) Swipe to the left when on the home screen to bring up the spotlight search page.
5) When using Safari or watching videos double tap to zoom in and out.
6) On many applications, pinch with your thumb and index finger to zoom in and pull them apart to zoom out.
7) Getting bored listening to an album the same old way? Shake your iPhone or iPod Touch to randomly shuffle to another track.
8) When typing using the virtual keyboard, keep your fingers pressed on a letter to bring up accented or symbol versions.
9) In the inbox of the mail program, slide your finger from left to right to bring up a delete button. You can do this with videos as well.
10) Turn your device into landscape orientation to get a bigger keyboard with better spacing between the letters.
11) Brightness. Go to Settings/Brightness & Wallpaper or just to brightness and dim it down in order to save power and make your battery last longer.
12) Vibrate. Turn it off for individual apps by going to their settings screen or under the main settings.
13) Turn off sound effects - either from system events or in individual applications. Also playing music in the background while using another app.
14) Charge and recharge. Dont store your device with a dead battery. This affects the chemical composition. Use and fully recharge every month.
15) Multi-Tasking on iOS4. The more things you run the more power it takes. Double press the Home button to see all the apps either running or suspended. Tap and hold any until they all wiggle then tap the deleted icon to stop them.
